Allergy to mold mixture (Mx1)

The mold mixture test is a blood allergy test The mold allergy test indicates 5 allergens:

• Penicillum notatum,
• Cladosporium herbarium,
• Helminthosporium halodes,
• Candida albicans,
• Alternaria alternata,

The test involves the determination of IgE antibodies in the blood and is performed in the case of suspected allergy to fungi.


The advantage of the test is that there is no need to discontinue antihistamines antihistamines. The blood allergen test is used also for qualification for desensitization of fungal allergies. Recommended is also used for the diagnosis of allergenic agents in children younger than 4 years of age.
