Lumbar spine densitometry + 1 femoral neck

Densitometry is an X-ray examination using the DEXA method that allows the measurement of bone mineral density in areas particularly susceptible to osteoporotic fractures.

Recommended for:

• women after menopause,
• individuals from the age of 20,
• individuals with chronic diseases affecting bone metabolism,
• patients with orthopedic injuries or a family history of osteoporosis.

No referral is required for the examination. You will receive the results immediately.

Preparation:

The examination does not require any special preparation. Bring an identity document and inform the staff if you are pregnant.

Contraindications:

• pregnancy,
• examination with barium or iodine contrast within the last 3 months,
• recent fracture of the femoral neck.
