During a telephone consultation, a doctor:
- interviews the patient;
- diagnoses the patient;
- gives medical recommendations;
- prescribes medication;
- issues referrals for tests and examinations, consultations, and hospital treatments;
- may issue a certificate of temporary incapacity for work.
During a telephone consultation, the doctor will perform all the services that can be performed remotely. However, while taking the patient’s medical history, it may prove necessary to schedule an in-person visit – such a visit may turn out to be necessary to make a proper diagnosis and decide upon the right treatment.
If a patient had their examinations or tests performed at Damian Medical Centre, the doctor can access them.
