Hearing aid dispenser
A hearing aid dispenser establishes the diagnosis of hearing loss during a consultation by carrying out audiometric tests, and selects a hearing aid to match the diagnosed hearing loss as well as the patient's individual preferences.
Hearing aid selection is dedicated:
- for persons over 7 years of age at Medicover Medical Centres
- for persons of all ages at Damian Medical Centre
A hearing test carried out by a hearing aid dispenser involves the following:
- an interview with the patient,
- a hearing test
- carried out at Medicover Centre tonal audiometry in the case of hearing impairment also speech audiometry;
- otoscope examination of ears at Damian Medical Centre,
- making an impression of your ear canals (cast), in cases where a hearing aid is being selected,
- choosing the right hearing aid.
If the hearing aid dispenser determines that you have a hearing loss and need to wear a hearing aid, they will offer you a trial of hearing aids.
The hearing aid is rented free of charge for the following period of time:
- 3 weeks at Medicover Medical Centres
- 3 to 7 days at Damian Medical Centre
The hearing aid is rented free of charge for the following period of time:

- Damian Medical Centre Wałbrzyska, Warsaw (from the age of 0 years)
- Damian Foksal Medical Centre, Warsaw (from the age of 1 year))
- Damian Medical Centre at Al. Zjednoczenia, Warsaw (from the age of 1 year)
- Damian Medical Centre, Koneser Square, Warsaw (from the age of 7 years)
Consultation by a hearing aid dispenser
Duration:
- od 20 do 30 minut w Centrach Medycznych Medicover
- 40 minutes at Damian Medical Centre
Who should be tested?
- 7+ individuals – at Medicover Medical Centres,
- individuals of any age – at Damian Medical Centre.
