Midfoot Ultrasound
Due to significant overload forces in the midfoot, inflammatory and overload-related changes are frequently observed. Midfoot ultrasonography enables the diagnosis of pathologies such as stress fractures, as well as inflammatory and overload conditions in this part of the body.
Ultrasound imaging clearly visualizes focal changes in the midfoot, including Morton's neuroma and fluid accumulation in surrounding bursae. It is also used to diagnose post-traumatic changes in joints and their ligamentous apparatus.
