Hand Joint Ultrasound
During a hand ultrasound examination, we primarily assess the joints along with the associated ligamentous structures. Ultrasonography enables the diagnosis and monitoring of commonly occurring rheumatoid arthritis. The examination also includes an evaluation of the flexor and extensor tendons of the fingers. Ultrasound is an excellent method for assessing traumatic and inflammatory changes in tendons. Additionally, dynamic scanning allows for the diagnosis of such conditions by observing tendon movement in real time.
