Course of ultrasound of the shoulder joint with elastography

From the patient's perspective, the course of an ultrasound with elastography is not significantly different from that of a classic ultrasound. The doctor covers the head of the ultrasound machine with a special gel, applies it to the skin surface of the subject and evaluates the obtained image on the monitor. The examination lasts from a few to several minutes.

The patient does not need to prepare in any way for the shoulder joint ultrasound. However, it is worth remembering that it will be necessary to expose the shoulder, and for this reason put on comfortable, easy-to-remove clothing.
