How is the Total Calcium Test Performed?

The calcium level test involves taking a blood sample into an EDTA tube. The process takes a few seconds to a minute. The best time to perform the test is in the morning.

The total calcium test will determine if the calcium level is within the normal range or if it falls outside of it.
