Allergy to egg yolk

The egg yolk test is an allergy test from the blood. The yolk allergy test determines the allergen of egg yolk chicken.

The test involves the determination of IgE antibodies in the blood and is performed when yolk allergy is suspected. The advantage of of the test is that there is no need to discontinue antihistamines antihistamines. The blood allergen test is used also for qualification for yolk allergy desensitization.
