Salivary gland ultrasound

Salivary gland ultrasound is used to assess the morphology of the salivary glands, detect the presence of cysts and nodules, and evaluate the size of the glands.

Indications for the examination include:

• salivary gland disorders,
• neck or lymph node enlargement or asymmetry,
• difficulty swallowing.

Ultrasound examination is an imaging method that uses sound waves. This technique relies on the reflection of ultrasound waves from the structures of the organs.

• Non-invasive examination - no special examination required Preparation.
• The duration of the study is about 15-20 minutes.
• The patient receives the test result in the form of a medical description with a photo. All documentation is printed at the visit and The patient receives the original result.

• There are no contraindications to performing the test.
