When scheduling appointments, remember that you can use the package after 3 business days from the date of purchase. Also make sure that the specialist you are making an appointment with accepts patients of your age. If you do not speak Polish, ask about the possibility of a consultation in a foreign language.

Scope of the package

The scope of the package includes:

• LBC monolayer cytology is an improved and more accurate version of the classic cytological examination. It is a modern and accurate form of testing that can detect pre-cancerous or cancerous cells. Diagnosis of cancerous lesions at an early stage of the disease allows for effective treatment - early detected cervical cancer is almost 100% curable. This is why it is so important to have regular examinations. The examination should be performed between the 10th and 20th day of the menstrual cycle.
• Gynecological ultrasound is performed prophylactically to assess the condition of a woman's reproductive organs and menstrual cycle, as well as in the suspicion and treatment of diseases of the genital organs. It allows to evaluate the surface, interior, shape, size and position of the various organs, as well as to detect abnormalities. This examination is painless and non-invasive, performed vaginally.
• A gynecologist's consultation should be performed regularly by every woman. During the consultation, the gynecologist takes a history, orders tests if necessary, as well as interprets the results of tests performed so far.

What's more, each patient receives a 15% discount on additional tests:

• Breast ultrasound is used in the diagnosis of breast cancer, the early detection of which enables effective treatment. For this reason, it is useful to have knowledge of the risk growth factors for the disease. This allows us to take early prevention. Ultrasound is an independent diagnostic method for women up to about 40 years of age. Breast ultrasound should be done every two years, starting at age 25.
• Mammography detects very small, even millimeter-sized lesions, images the shape of the tumor (a regular shape suggests a benign lesion), and shows calcifications, or calcium mineral deposits, well. They can be large (macrocalcifications) or small (microcalcifications). The former are generally benign, with half of women over 50 having them.
  
  Microcalcifications are more dangerous, as they can be a signal of cancer or precancerous changes. When the glandular tissue in our breasts disappears and is replaced by fatty tissue, it's a good idea to start getting mammograms. We do it once every two years or as recommended by the doctor.

Note: Gynecological ultrasound at Dr. Margaret Wejner is outside of the PREMIUM Gynecological Fast Track package. The 15% discount on breast ultrasound with Dr. Malgorzata Wejner is also not applicable. This is a doctor who only performs highly specialized ultrasounds.

Preparation for research

Tests included in the package:

• LBC monolayer cytology- the patient should take care of proper hygiene of the external reproductive organs and perineum with an intimate hygiene gel with an acidic pH. Vaginal irrigations should not be used before the test. If the patient is using vaginal medications, the examination should take place at least 6 days after the end of treatment. The examination should be performed between the 10th and 20th day of the menstrual cycle.
• Gynecological ultrasound- the patient should have an empty bladder for the examination. A minor patient must come with a legal guardian.
• Examinations for which an additional discount is available:
• Breast ultrasound- The examination is best performed between the 5th and 10th day of the menstrual cycle. It is necessary to bring previous test results (mammogram, ultrasound, biopsy) and especially photo documentation and hospital discharges in case of breast surgery.
• Mammography- The test is best performed between the 5th and 10th day of the menstrual cycle. It is necessary to bring previous test results (mammography, ultrasound, biopsy) and, in particular, photo documentation and hospital discharges in case of breast surgery.
  
  Contraindications for mammography are pregnancy, thick-needle/ mammotonic biopsy of the breast, breast plastic surgery within 6 months of surgery, pathologically low pain threshold, open and chronic wounds in the area.
